Resolved: KraftMaid Creme-colored glazed cabinetry
The Company has stood by their warranty in full compliance, and has quickly acted upon receiving my recent communications to remedy my problem. I am satisfied with the results of our communications and have found them to be responsive and honorable.
I purchased cabinets for my kitchen ~11 years ago. Within the first few months of installation, I began to notice slight crackling on the face of the cabinets, and the paint began to peel off of the door frames and cabinet units themselves.
I complained to Lowe's and also to the Kraftmaid directly. They mailed to me a few new doors and were generally quick to respond. They also mailed to me some paint in a small tube. A few years went by, and the same problem just kept getting worse.
They mailed a few more doors. However the problem on the old cabinet units is just worse and worse, paint has chipped off completely on the corners and even in areas that rarely come into contact with either water, heat or humans. This simply is not acceptable wear and tear.
I have complained to the company and sent them pictures and letters but they simply haven't conceded that there was a quality problem in their painting or manufacturing process. This simply is wrong.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Monetary Loss: $4000.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
KraftMaid Cons: Quality of paint, Do not stand by their warranty.

Hi I'm having the same exact problem they look like my cabinets I've contacted them twice I wondered if you could tell me who you contacted in management that got you some resolution . Thanks so much
I have had the worst experience with Kraftmaid. The finish on my cabinet doors developed vertical cracks and now the paint is popping off.
These in no way come into contact with people or water. The paint on many of the cabinet corners have peeled off and of course they said that was normal wear and tear. But the vertical cracks cannot be normal wear and tear.
Still, they say it is and will not warranty it. I am so disgusted my whole kitchen is peeling paint.
How did you get Kraftmaid to agree that it is their issue?
I was persistent and kept writing letters to management.
