KraftMaid - NO Porcelain Glaze cabinets -
I've been trying to reach out to Kraftmaid about my Porcelain Glazed cabinets for well over 5years. I've asked for retouch paint, crown moldings, and help in renewing or resurfacing our cabinets.
in every instance their response has been, this product is discontinued. the primary reason I chose KRAFTMAID was due to their lucrative lifetime warranty. I now feel there is no warranty. it is all a deception.
I've remodeled 3 rooms in the home with the exception of the kitchen. is there any way we can get feedback on how to go about using our lifetime warranty, get answers, help and possibly have them take ownership of the promise at hand?

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

I have been looking for the porcelain glaze as well, have the same problem, cabinets and knobs, want to fix myself, where can we find it?
I am in the same predicament as well. I would purchase the glaze and try myself...is it even available? Susan
If it is peeling, then you should contact KraftMaid directly and make a warranty claim. In many cases (but not every case) peeling is caused by moisture getting into the wood/under the finish, which will cause the paint to lift/peel.
That type of issue is not warranty. I suggest you call them or email.
If you ever decide to pull them out and want to sell some of the doors.. I am interested. I can no longer buy them either - jimcarrubba@***.com
Discontinued finish colors are done for warranty only, not for add on items years after the finish was discontinued. The toe kick area damage looks like classic water damage (wicking up from the floor).
The area around the door pulls needs a good cleaning. It looks like lot of dirt/grease buildup from use.
There are oils that can discoloration the finish over time. That's not something that can be controlled and is not a warranty issue.
Would you demand Ford to make a Pinto, if something is discontinued how or why would you expect to obtain the product? If you have a warranty issue for example and issue due to manufacture defect then why wouldnt they help you??
Maybe you have other issues, and youve attempted for 5 years to get resolution? Sounds fishy
Obviously, you must be working for one of the big boxes that sells Kraftmaid. My Kraftmaid cabinets were just installed a month ago, and I am already seeing a lot of paint peeling off.
